Suitably dreamy, lovesick pop out of our now earthquake-ravaged hometown of Christchurch from Nick Harte's Shocking Pinks, iced in with the signature brittle drums that characterise much of his multi instrumental ouevre along with shoegaze guitar fades and a penchant choruses full of a world-endingly-heavy kind of beauty. Apparently he's is sitting on about 400 of these new and unheard jams in various modes from retrograde house-inflected experimentations to sunset-drenched dream pop. --Shea Bermingham, Rose Quartz
