I first met Terrible Records founder Ethan Silverman while shopping at Wilmington, North Carolina's Gravity Records, and not, surprisingly, through the label he runs with Chris Taylor. Today, however, we get to know Mr. Silverman as 1/3 of the group Beige. On their latest track, "Silver Writing," simple guitar licks guide through reverberated vocals, combining scores of delicate background noise. There are no plans for an album just yet, but if you're in New York this Friday, they're playing a pretty sick bill at Pianos with Family Portrait, Megafortress, Headless Horseman, Philip Seymour Hoffman, and a DJ set by Nate from Cults.
