We're diving back into Family Portrait's ultra-Ridgewoodian pop, looking back to older work and jamming on a new one courtesy of Microphone Memory Emotion. Why? To help ready ourselves for a potential RQ New Jersey day trip that will either crumble or further extenuate the mythos we've veiled the place and all it's cosy guitar work in. This tight new track, a demo version of a jam that will appear on their upcoming full-length, crosses a dusky backyard swagger with a definite classic-rock-in-Autumn-vibe, splitting the feelings between "Wonder Years" warmness and a similar (yet more personal and wonky and real), "important"-sounding tenderness.
