Games, a collaboration between lifelong best friends Daniel Lopatin of Oneohtrix Point Never and Joel Ford of Tigercity/Airbird, is a sample-based production dream-duo whose sonic pallette is composed of creamy sequenced synths and slowed snippets. Unique beyond the heaps of others that chop n' screw '80s cult jams and ironic italo, many samples used on the stellar upcoming EP, That We Can Play, are creations of audio architects Lopatin and Ford. Each sample having been tweaked, toiled, and sequenced to stand on its own long and silky-smooth legs, "Shadows In Bloom", drawing from Secret Service's "Flash In The Night", shows Games' deep understanding of '80s electronic music and seamlessly weaves it into a modern context that will inspire a more refined breed of soundsmiths to come.
