Altered Zones

Uhh so, was kind of surprised when I put on this mysterious new release, supposedly from The Skaters' Spencer Clark, expecting some usual Skater-style noise weirdness, but instead the opening track's breathy feedback morphed into short sharp hits of Raw Rock Riffage w/ death growls. Could Spencer really have given up the tape-reel tangled noise of past releases in favour of sounding like a blendered high school metal band or a live Metallica bootleg cassette recorded at the front of the pit, right by an amp? Whatever the origins of this supposed release, you need to be wearing a leather jacket and throwing some horns for this one. (via Rose Quartz)
