The cover of Tim Hecker's exquisitely icy sixth album, Ravedeath, shows a crowd of people on the verge of depositing a piano off the roof of an apartment building. Kranky just announced a follow-up to the release by the name of Dropped Pianos, though its contents-- a series of preparatory sketches for Ravedeath-- suggest a wry reversal of narrative causality.
