After wrapping up a second consecutive year in Chicago, vanguard Neon Marshmallow Fest has announced its geographic colonization of Brooklyn, NY. The three-day event kicks off Friday, October 14th, and will be housed by historic-mayonnaise-factory-turned-arts-and-music-venue Public Assembly, which boasts 4,000 sq. feet of absurd sound systems courtesy of the The Bunker, including a full-spectrum quad stereo. The roster lives up to its predecessors, featuring a slew of premier experimental acts, visuals from the likes of Yr Friend Matthew and Jon Williams & Rebecca Gaffney, and DJ sets by AZ editors Ric Leichtung and Emilie Friendlander (whose band, La Big Vic, is also playing). There are a limited number of complete passes available for purchase that will grant you access to every show, a full hour of open bar on Friday and Saturday, and all the associated afterparties. You'll have to use your resources to find the after-afterparties. Check out the line-up below. --Ian Pearson, Altered Zones
