Right now over on FACT (but for a limited time only) you can download a mix that beatsmith Laurel Halo made. This one's called "Pornoviewer," and it's named after Dopplereffekt track that appears near the beginning. Given Laurel's sensibility for hypnotic and futuristic takes on the Detroit and German template, you can expect a seamless mix that is equal parts deep and psychedelic. Alongside real solids from VHS Head, New York native Ezekiel Honig, and techno institution Shed, there are also some other noteable standouts. Having previously received the remix treatment from Laurel for their track "Casual Diamond," there is a sampler of the forthcoming Sleep ∞ Over LP with "Behind Closed Doors." There is also a sick remix of Eric Copeland's "Krankendudel" off his recently Zoned In Waco Taco Combo, not to mention an unreleased track from Laurel Halo herself, "Slugs" that closes out the mix. --Daniel Gottlieb, Altered Zones via FACT
