Can't believe it's been almost two years since Austin trio Pure X first dropped "You're In It Now" into our lives. Back then, they were playing under the name Pure Ecstasy, and "You're In It Now" was a song from their first official missive-- a self-released, spray-painted, three-track 7" that probably only 50 people ever laid eyes on. Ahead of their forthcoming Pleasure LP, Acéphale has teamed with Light Lodge to re-release Future Nostalgia in the form of a 4-track EP, called You're In It Now. Probably the only thing more bittersweet than the song itself is hearing it in expanded and remastered form, with the bass bumped up a little higher than you might expect. Pure X are hitting the road with Sleep ∞ Over and This Will Destroy You next week. In the event that they're not rolling though your town, these live visuals courtesy of Scott Gelber should give you a pretty good idea.
You're In It Now EP, remastered and featuring an extended version of the title track, is out now via Light Lodge/Acéphale. Pleasure LP is out July 5th in the US and August 22nd worldwide via Acéphale. Tour dates here
