Chicago’s Young Man, otherwise known as Colin Caulfield, knows the magic of the five-year-old mind. His latest EP, simply titled Boy inhabits that space of child-like curiosity and joy, indulging in that familiar sense of moment-to-momentness - where there’s always time for another story, dinosaurs still exist and every new discovery titters on the euphoric. Every lingering melody and ariel sounscape on this EP plays like a new page in a child’s baby book, chronicling the short list of any young boy’s most predominant concerns – playtime, bedtime, growing and yes, more playtime. It’s juvenile in only the right ways, provoking images of wide-eyed innocence, shy giggles behind Mommy’s skirts and gangly, swinging legs that don’t quite yet reach the floor. (via Yours Truly)
Boy is streaming in full at Young Man's blog and will be out later this year on Frenchkiss
